About Me
I am curious, driven, and, some would say, obsessive too when it comes to beauty, wonder, and all that is sublime. I am an observer, an adventurer, a storyteller, and a philosopher at heart. I firmly believe art imitates life. Hopefully, my work exemplifies that. There is something poetic about our existence. Whether happy or sad, grand or mundane, it all inspires and shapes me. Every sentence and every shot of mine reflects that since I express what resonates within me. I am a product of my encounters and experiences; the environments and elements continue to mold me into what I am becoming.
Travel has been a vital part of my life for as long as I can remember. Traveling gave me the chance to meet people from all over the world. It gave me time to ponder and look within. It broadened my horizons and sense of possibility. It taught me compassion, self-reliance, humility, and patience, among many things. These values are very dear to me, among others, such as appreciation, precision, expression, improvement, responsibility, and so forth.
The best rewards have come from going one step further, deeper, and higher than the last time. I believe this feeds my dedication to being a lifelong learner. Most things I claim to know, I taught myself, which I also think is the most effective way to learn just about anything. I operate with an unwavering can-do attitude which has helped me in immeasurable ways. I can sum up my story as a serial trial and error run with no finish line. I see life as a marathon, a game of endurance judged by how far you went with your head up and spirits high.
Background
I have tried my hand at event organizing, project coordinating, social entrepreneurship, cooking in restaurants, and so on. I also feel no shame recounting all my failures since they define me too and have taught me a lot. I am a former drop-out who decided to give academia one more chance. I started working early on and have been learning a great deal since. I have been putting my thoughts to paper and taking pictures of people and places since my teenage years. I can say I am destined to do this and am still exploring.
I'm a multimedia content creator with varied interests. I have been a content writer/editor for over five years now. Previously working at a digital magazine as a contributor-turned Editor in Chief, I later moved on to web content editing as a freelancer. Working on travel content for a couple of clients has been an eye-opening and uplifting experience. I have been carving a path for my career aspirations ever since.
Specializing in food and travel suits me because the subjects are broad enough to expose me to life's anthropological, natural, and magical sides. These areas encapsulate my fundamental interests and profound influences. I have always had a burning desire to dissolve boundaries through storytelling, which is what led me to harnessing multimedia. I have taken photography and videography seriously ever since. This clarity soon convinced me to study Film & Motion Design at The University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Berlin. I have gained further experience and credibility doing what I love and helping others grow their businesses. Hopefully, the following pages will show glimpses of my passion in effect.
